Runa Payout Links enable you to send an open balance that recipients can choose how to redeem across any merchant on the Runa Network. You can preselect the merchants that recipients can choose from by creating a payout link selection.
Create a payout link selection
- In the main-navigation, click “Customization” and then select “Payout selection”.
- To create a new template click “+ New template”.
- On the next page you can create your payout link selection
- Give your template a name. This is required in order to save your template.
- Select the “Country” you are selecting payouts from. You cannot choose payout types from multiple countries in one order.
- Search the payout types and click the logo to add it to your selection.
- Once you have selected 2 or more payout types you can then save your selection by clicking “Confirm selection”.
- Give your template a name. This is required in order to save your template.
Some payout types have predefined values that recipients can choose from. If your selection includes payout types where this happens, we will let you know the minimum value of the requested payout types. (Example message below).
How to add the payout link selection to your orders
Order via the Runa Portal
- Click “Create an order” in the left-hand menu
- Select whichever order type you want to use
- Click on “Choose payout types”
- Click on the “Saved selections” tab
- You can then select one of your saved templates to add to the order
Some payout types may not be available for your order if they do not meet the minimal payout value you have set. You can learn more about which payout types are not available by hovering over the text “4 payout types available” for each selection you have saved.
Order via the API
To use this selection on your orders you must be using the Runa API.
When you save a new template you will get a unique template ID unique. You will need this ID to apply to relevant orders sent via the API. We recommend you share this ID with the person responsible for your API integration. If in doubt, speak to a engineer or developer in your company.
- Copy the template ID. You can get this after saving a new template, or by clicking on an existing template in the “User redemption” page.
- Share the ID with the person responsible for your API integration.
- The ID should be applied to the
template_id
in theproducts
of the “Create a new order” endpoint. If the template is only being used for specific orders, make sure to only apply it to these based on how you’ve integrated the Runa API. - Your orders will now send with this template applied.
We recommend sending a test order to verify your emails and landing pages. Currently it is not possible to test customisation using the Runa Playground, so you will need to test with live orders.
