There are three key ways to add funds to your Runa Balance:
- Click on ‘Billing & Finance’ and then ‘Billing overview’ in the left-hand menu.
- On the ‘Billing overview’ page, click the ‘+ Add funds’ button in the top-right of your screen.
- Select the Balance you would like to transfer into e.g. GBP Balance.
- Select your preferred method to add funds. Please note that some transfer methods will not be available based on the currency.
Bank Transfer
- You may be asked to choose a transfer method. Please select your preferred method.
- On the ‘Bank details’ page, you will see the bank details for your account and accepted transfer methods.
- Go to your banking platform and start a new payment.
- Paste the bank details from the ‘Bank details’ page into your bank platform’s payment details.
- Set how much you want to transfer to your Runa Balance.
- Send your funds, and you’re done.
Whilst it could take as little as 30 mins to appear in Your Runa Balance, it could take up to 36 hours.
The first 2 or 3 top-ups will take a little longer due to automated compliance checks.
Card Payment

Enter the amount you want to pay into your Runa Balance.

Using your debit or credit card
a. If this is your first time using a card, add in your card details and check the checkbox to save your card details.
b. If you already have a saved card, your most recently used card will automatically be selected. If you want to change the card you wish to pay with, you can select a different saved card or add in new card details.

Please note that a fee will be added to the payment based on the top-up size and type of card being used. You can avoid this fee by paying into your Balance via bank transfer.

Click ‘Confirm & pay’. You may be required to verify the payment with your bank. In this case please follow the on-screen instructions.

Upon successful top-up, the lead user of the account will receive a confirmation email.
Currency Exchange
- Select a currency you want to exchange from and to in the dropdown.
- Add the amount that you want to exchange.
- You will be shown the exchange rate and amount you’ll receive.
- If this is the first time you are making an exchange between your Runa Balances you will be asked to read and accept the Terms & Conditions.
- Review the exchange details and click ‘Confirm exchange’
- This will move the funds from one of your balances to the other instantly.
- Upon successful top-up, the lead user of the account will receive a confirmation email.
